Slow Dance

以下一首詩,很有意思.......

SLOW DANCE......by a terminal ill young girl in a New York Hospital

Have you ever watched kids on a merry-go-round?

Or listen to the rain slapping on the ground?

Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight?

Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?

You'd better slow down. Don't dance so fast.

Time is short. The music won't last.

Do you run through each day on the fly?

When you ask How Are You? Do you hear the reply?

When the day is done, Do you lie in your bed with the next hundred chores running through your head?

You'd better slow down. Don't dance so fast.

Time is short.  The music won't last.

Ever told your child, we'll do it tomorrow?

And in your haste, not see his sorrow?

Ever last touch, let a good friendship die

Cause you never had time to call and say "Hi"

You'd better slow down. Don't dance too fast.

Time is short. The music won't last.

When you run so fast to get somewhere

You miss half the fun of getting there.

When you are worry and hurry through your day, it's like an unopened gift......throw away.

Life is not a race. Do take it slower.

Hear the music before the song is over.

Cheryl, it's too good that I have to steal from your blog! I know you won't mind.

Scarcity

What is scarcity?! What is poor?!

I donno and I am sure you don't know as well. I hope we don't have to face it forever!!

The fund raising process for Famine 30 will come to an end by this week. I am happy that most of my friends are willing and happy to sponsor this meaningful event (well, even some of you do the sponsorship is half-forced by me).

Same as the previous years, I see a lot during the fund raising. No matter how much you contribute, that already makes a difference. I particularly appreciate and proud of those donate a handsome amount given they are not so rich.

Some ppl feel bad luck when being caught by me for donation, however, if you see this another way round, you will know that's your luck to be able to help others.

I felt a bit disappointed for those who work in managerial level and go clubbing or k every week but not willing to donate a cent. It's your pity, not those in need.
